Initial thoughts are this: You need insurance for Gabbert and his thumb, so you need to keep both Henne and Stanzi, as Kafka has looked awful and should be on the first round of cuts today. You release Scott in hopes he lands on the Practice Squad, which he has a good chance at. I went light on fullbacks to make room for Jordan Todman, whom if this roster is all about competition, than he makes it with Forsett's injury. Will Ta'ufo'ou whom I think ultimately makes the roster is also let go, to keep Tight End Ryan Otten, who can play that H-Back role, having Lonnie Pryor playing lead blocker. We will go Offensive Line thin, as there aren't enough quality players on the roster to take a spot over a defender, and we should look to bring one or two interior offensive linemen in to compete after the start of the season. Two names missing from the Defensive Line are TJ Barnes and Andre Branch, the latter I think looks to be traded, the former is a Practice Squad guy I just don't think he makes it through waivers. In a recent change, I have Linebacker Julian Stanford making the roster over Brandon Marshall, recent waiver claimers Andy Studebaker [core Special Teams guy] and Kyle Knox both make the team, Knox can play both LEO and Strong Side rush linebacker. Seems to be a theme, but the recent addition of Corner Will Blackmon should shore up the nickel back position with Trufant and Harris while adding the ability to return punts effectively, which allows Denard/Ace to focus on being the primary receiver while Justin Blackmon is out due to suspension. And like always, Bryan Anger will punt, Josh Scobee will kick, Undrafted Free Agent Carson Tinker will be the long snapper over the recently released Cain.

Disclaimer is this, look for another 4-10 players to be added to the roster after final cuts from other teams start rolling in. The current bubble guys I see are Jeremy Mincey [DL], Michael Brewster [C/G], Ricky Stanzi [QB], Julian Stanford [LB], Jordan Shipley [WR], and Jordan Todman [RB].
